On our road trip last week we discovered the gorgeous Newcastle.  I cannot believe we have not visited before now!  What a wonderful place - fantastic gift and handmade stores, yummy food and amazing scenery and beaches.

We are giving away two $25 gift vouchers to 2 of our lucky readers.  To enter simply leave a comment below letting us know one of your favorite spots in Australia.  Competition is open to all our registered blog followers so go to the side and follow our blog for a chance to win.

  2. One of my favourite spots is the Gibraltor Range, about 1 hour west of Grafton. It's a drive that you have to do slowly, not only does this allow for safe driving as the climb is windy but it also allows you to enjoy the scenery of flora, fauna and fabulous look outs over the western part of the Clarence Valley. There is a gully on this range that is often filled with the trill of blue birds in the morning, it also has a look out that is a bit hit and miss. Either you get glorious views, or or it is foggy. That's just a part of the thrill of this part of Australia.

  3. Currumbin Beach QLD. Although like most places along the coastline, the buildings are constantly being updated there is still something special about it. It may well be the nostalgia from spending family holidays there growing up, which meant spending all day at the beach, exploring the rocks and enjoying the view from Elephant Rock or simply making use of our imagination with our new surroundings. I hope our family holidays will bring the same enjoyment for our children in the years to come.

  4. My favourite spot in Australia is Burnett Heads... not only do you have to drive through all that sugar cane and red dirt to get there, but the air is clean and the ocean is inviting and there are even shells on the beach. Pure bliss!

  9. hard decision but would have to be hiking the Thorsbourne Track across Hinchinbrook Island. There is nothing quite as refreshing as carrying all necessary provisions in your backpack for 6 days in the great outdoors. And the added bonus - no mobile phone coverage!
